Top of the Rim IT Consulting is based in Overgaard, Arizona, on the Mogollon Rim. The work is Tier 3: Active Directory, Windows Server, hardening, patch pipelines, and audit-ready remediation. On-site or remote.
A lot of organizations get one of two offers. A distant firm that treats the work as a remote ticket queue, or a local shop that can reset passwords but is not built for directory design, staged patching, or an evidence binder. TOTR sits between those. On-site when the room matters, and technical enough for the problems that usually get escalated.
That mix matters when the environment is real. Multi-site identity, legacy trusts, WSUS or SCCM that looks configured and still fails under pressure, scanner findings that never become retest proof. Those are not drive-by tickets. They need someone who can stay with the design, the change window, and the evidence.
Remote delivery is part of the model. On-site delivery is part of it too, when the host, the domain controller, or the conversation needs to be in the room.
What that engagement looks like
- You talk to the engineer doing the work, not a sales layer. See direct engineer engagement.
- The first session is a technical discovery, scoped to directory, servers, patching, and evidence.
- When the need is lighter day-to-day help, that is a separate lane: Tier 3 and local IT assistance.
